Notice the electricity in the air? There is change in the wind and it's being brought to you by Design Via Synthesis. (Ross Stewart & Josh Hayne) L.E.D. is a project created in Melbourne to promote Live Electronic Dance artists and their music. Design Via Synthesis has spent much time over the past years trying to figure out what is wrong with the Australian dance scene. What they have put it down to is this. Too many DJ's and not enough musicians and producers are performing at raves these days.

So what has they done? They've created an ongoing event that continually grabs a snippet of the great talent that Australian shores harbour. Too many times we've seen our most talented artists heading overseas to get the recognition they deserve while the Australian public are lapping up imported music and paying exuberant amounts of money to get a glimpse of the artists' live shows.

Electronic music has developed rapidly in the last 30 years, for the limitations are few and the possibilities are still being discovered. When live combines with the electronic, new realms of dance music emerge, further broadening the musical boundaries. At L.E.D.'s first event we are proud to present some of the cream of current and upcoming L.E.D (Live Electronic Dance) artists with many more coming over the next few months.
